Plot
Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. When news reaches Russia, her fairy tale is threatened when his parents travel to New York to seek an annulment. Better Things’ Mikey Madison reflects on the roles that shaped her path to Anora; on Once Upon a Time… At a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, Mickey Madison said that director Sean Baker and his wife, producer Samantha Kwan, would play out different sex positions to demonstrate to the actors Igor: PLEASE!

STOP! Scream! I don’t really know Sean Baker as the director. I know he directed The Red Rocket; and another called the "Florida Project" with Willem Dafoe, but I haven’t seen either of them.
I love this movie
This year, he won the Palm D, or best film, at the Cannes Film Festival for his new film Anora. So I was really looking forward to seeing it. I just saw it and was not disappointed. Mikey Madison plays "Anora" who is a stripper and lap dancer in New York who is dating a rich Russian guy who pays her for sex and likes her so much that he pays her to spend a week with him.
Then he asks her to marry him
They go to Las Vegas and get married. Then his parents find out he’s married and try to get the marriage annulled. The story is pretty simple, but the movie is very entertaining from start to finish, and the audience I saw it with found it very funny and laughed a lot. is very emotionally engaging and I really started to care about Mikey Madison’s character Anora.
This movie is awesome
She gives the best performance of the year and I would love to see her nominated for an Oscar next year for Best Actress. Sean Baker is definitely a director to watch and I can’t wait to see what he does next. Director Sean Baker and actress Mikey Madison are definitely a match made in movie heaven.
