Redesign Project

Cherie

Project Description

Most people do not buy a new model home and start redesigning it immediately. But when Cherie purchased her new model home in Carlsbad, she knew she would be doing a bit of redesign work. “The kitchen was new, but it just wasn’t me,” she says. The kitchen had a huge island Cherie felt monopolized the space in the kitchen. Having hired Paula in the past, Cherie knew exactly who to call.

Cherie has used other interior designers, but she felt they did not listen to her ideas and tried talking her into selecting things that spoke to their style not hers. “Working with Paula was so easy,” says Cherie. “She’s very creative and great to work with. Paula listens to what you are trying to accomplish. You never feel like she’s trying to talk you into something. She’ll tell you if she doesn’t think something will work, but then helps you see how to make your vision a reality.”

Paula helped Cherie put in a kitchen island that was a better fit for the space. “She chose an exquisite piece of marble for the top,” Cherie says, “and she helped reface the cabinets, choosing a beautiful color.” Paula also assisted Cherie in choosing fabrics and other finishing touches.

“I won’t work with anyone else,” Cherie says.
