Redesign Project

Darlene and Brooks

Project Description

When Darlene and Brooks purchased their 50-year-old home on the bay in Point Loma, Calif., they knew they would be doing a lot of remodeling. Before they even made an offer, Bob and Paula walked through the home and assured Darlene and Brooks that the home had good bones, and helped them visualize the home’s potential.

Darlene and Brooks lived in the back bedroom suite while their new 5,000-square-foot home was redesigned, floor to ceiling. By the time the remodel was finished, practically every inch of the home had been touched. The kitchen was gutted and remodeled; bathrooms were remodeled (one to allow room for a kitchen pantry); new flooring was installed throughout the home; new countertops were brought in; a new theater room was added; and the list goes on. Living in the home during the remodel was easy, Darlene says. “The trades were so courteous. Any time we would be inconvenienced, they let us know [ahead of time],” she explains.

“I wouldn’t work with anyone else,” says Darlene. “Paula has great ideas and wonderful taste. She listens to what you want and brings you tons of great options to choose from. I felt like she totally got me.

“Bob and Paula work together so well. They are wonderful people, not only honest and very professional, but they kept us informed all the time and wanted to make sure we were happy. We are thrilled with our home. We’ve never been happier!”
