Before starting to record activities, it’s an excellent idea to close the Default Actions and make a New Set with your name. Click on the icon at the top right of the Actions panel. When the pop-up looks, choose New Set and in the dialog box that appears immediately following that, enter your title and click on OK. A brand new pair appears along together with your title. 02. Record pastel photoshop actions your actionRecording an action is easy. Simply click on the icon at the top of the Actions panel and also in the popup menu click New Action. From the New Action dialog box, then type in the name of your own activity and click on Record. All the actions you take will be listed in the Actions panel. What you will find is that creating an action is often a method of experimentation to find the effects you would like. To end the recording, press the halt button. 03. Play the actionWhen playing activities, you have a few options. To get those, click the icon at the top-right of the Actions panel and from the pop-up menu, then click on Playback Options. This brings up the Playback Options dialog box. You’ve got three choices: Accelerated, Step by Step and Pause For. Accelerate will play with the activity at normal speed. Be mindful that if you do so, you might not be in a position to see what the task is doing to your document. If you wish to see how the Action performs, select the Step by Step option instead. The third choice, Pause for ___ Seconds allows you to specify a pause between every step of this activity. This might be useful for debugging in case you are having trouble with the implementation of the action. 04
